Reflexology Research - Multiple Studies

Reflexology, an ancient, holistic healing science, is used to reduce stress, which encourages physiological changes in the body. It can help improve circulation, boost the immune system, reduce pain and revitalize energy.

Reflex areas on the foot act as small “mirrors” of the body’s organs and systems. The reflexologist reads the foot like a map of the body by examining foot color, muscle tone, skin texture and other signs. These signs can reflect energy blockages in the corresponding parts of the body. The reflexologist’s pressure and finger techniques are designed to disperse blocks, enhance the energy flow and encourage the body to heal itself.

Did you know that our feet have over 7,000 nerve endings in both?

Ariana has practiced for over two decades in Fairfield County and New York City. She is a co-founder and the first president of the Reflexology Association of Connecticut, an organization focused on educating the public on the profession and benefits of reflexology, monitoring laws and regulations in the state, establishing standards and ethics, and promoting continuing education for members.

She studied reflexology and related modalities for two years at Medicin College of Chinese Medicine, which covered more than 500 hours of training.

Reflexology offers the perfect opportunity for giving to ourselves and those we care about in a way that brings health and well-being.
